Featuring thirty-one short Meditations written by Fr. Marin de Boylesve, S.J. (1813-1892) on the life of the Saint based on the Gospels, the Meditations are a splendid way to honour St. Joseph during the month of March or any time of the year.
The reflective Meditations are accompanied by short stories recounting the graces and interventions of St. Joseph, and also prayers dedicated to him. This new edition contains a selection of other popular traditional devotions, fourteen sacred illustrations, a biography of the author and annotations.
Fr. Marin de Boylesve is best remembered in France for spreading devotion to the Sacred Heart with his writings and thereby helped commence the construction of the Sacre Coeur Basilica in Paris. His book of meditations on St. Joseph is truly a little gem.
